Sanity in District 7?
Why do we need to restore sanity to District 7?
Too many questions have been raised about the current Tea Party incumbents even by their fellow Republicans? Congress has Michelle Bachman and the Maryland Legislature has Richard Impallaria and Pat McDonough. Let’s limit their terms now!
What are the questions?
Read about them for yourself:
Former Baltimore prosecutor James Ward Morrow, candidate for House of Delegates in District 7, calls for incumbent Rick Impallaria to run on his record, literally!
In 2002, it was reported that senior Republican leaders asked Richard Impallaria to seriously consider not seeking election to the House of Delegates due to his criminal record.
Former Baltimore prosecutor and Democratic challenger James “Ward” Morrow is now calling on Impallaria to release all the facts related to his record, and for citizens to file freedom of information requests to obtain the reports for themselves.
The voters have a right to know all the facts related to these multiple incidents and not simply if a guilty verdict was recorded. Morrow has filed requests with the Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Maryland State Police Departments as well as the Harford County Sherriff’s Department.
“If it were just parking tickets or minor traffic offenses, I would not be doing this, but he has reportedly been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder among other criminal offenses. Voters have a right to know the full story,” Morrow said. While Morrow concedes some of these situations date back a number of years, he sees a current pattern of behavior as well and serious concerns raised within Impallaria’s own party, and with his legislative colleagues.
Morrow stated, “We also need to know why Impallaria has almost no legislative victories in his 8 years in office, and why he was named the least effective legislator by the Gazette newspaper’s bi-partisan survey?

Why did he, and Pat McDonough, use taxpayer funds to refer to their fellow delegate, and Republican State Senate candidate, J.B. Jennings as having failed to demonstrate competence in leadership and legislative skills; why did Impallaria request an ethics investigation against fellow Republican Jennings?

Did police respond to the September 2010 meeting of the Route 40 Republican Club, Chaired by Impallaria, as has been reported, and if so, why was this necessary?”
Morrow, who served as a Baltimore prosecutor for ten years and as a Special Assistant United State’s Attorney, has filed his own requests under the Maryland Freedom of Information laws to attempt to obtain the facts. Additionally, Morrow calls upon the citizens and press of Maryland to “file their own requests and get the facts.” Morrow has made a form available on his campaign website
www.jameswardmorrow.com and on his campaign Facebook site, James Ward Morrow for House of Delegates District 7. “Sadly, neither McDonough nor Impallaria bothered to appear at the Perry Hall Improvement Association to address the voters directly on these and other issues. They have had eight years of being completely unaccountable for their actions and are poster children for the term limits movement, “ noted Morrow, after both Republicans failed to show for the well attended community gathering.
Morrow has called upon Impallaria to “come clean publicly, and explain himself, or follow the sage advice that senior Republican leaders gave him in 2002 and withdraw from the race. If he won’t do that, then I ask Democrats and Republicans alike, many of whom have already indicated their support, to join with me in returning Impallaria to the private sector. There are simply too many incidents to ignore this behavior. The citizens of Baltimore and Harford Counties, of both parties and independents, deserve better than this.”
